Southside’s vision is to be IN, WITH, AND FOR THE NEIGHBOURHOOD. Over the last 25 years, we have cultivated a culture of Youth Leadership Development through local, national and international initiatives. Opportunities such as Summer Camps, Homeless Outreach, Bless the Neighbourhood Projects, and Albania Partnerships are training grounds where youth learn to lead, love and live in their communities.
Join our Youth Leadership Movement as we learn to identify our gifts, communicate as a team, empathize with others, and seek wholeness in our neighbourhoods. Our leadership development will include hands-on camp experience, work shops from local experts, adult mentorship and practices of prayer and scripture reading from the Christian faith.
RESPONSE TO COVID-19
We know that this is a unique time. Our leadership team will comply with provincial health and safety guidelines in order to provide a safe environment for all youth to learn and lead.
During camp time, we will follow similar guidelines as public schools.
STAFF will commit to…
- Disinfecting rooms and materials before and after each use
- Organizing our space to maintain physical distancing
- Wearing masks and proper PPE
YOUTH will be asked to...
- Come to all leadership opportunities with a mask
- Maintain a 6ft distance from all other people in the building
- Stay home if they, or anyone in their social bubble is sick
