Paul instructs the people of God not to be conformed to the patterns of this world but instead to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Three times a year we will commit a weekend to learning the ways of Jesus through instruction and participation.
Three classes are offered at our first Together in Mission day on Feb 6, 2016:
Heart – Developing a Life of Prayer and Keeping Company with Jesus (100 level)
with Craig Bosnick
The Bible is filled with stories of people who prayed and encountered Jesus in profound ways. We will look at some of these people, the prayer practices they engaged in, and how we might take some steps of growth in our our personal prayer lives. We will also look at our shared practice of morning and evening prayer, why it’s important and consider ways we can deepen this practice of ours. Limited to 12 participants.
Strength – Treasure: Generosity and Debt (100 level)
with Dan Bennett
Many of us struggle with there being too much month left at the end of the money. The bible teaches that we can move away from debt if we are humble, teachable, encouraging and truly desiring to see the bride of Christ shine. A life without debt gives us the opportunity to grow in our generosity. Amazingly, being generous is also one of the first steps to help us get out of debt. Can you believe that? Join us for a day of discovery and practice.
Neighbour – Telling the Story (100 level)
with Rick Eitzen, Cam Roxburgh and Graham Roxburgh
Everyone loves a story. Especially big stories. God’s Story is the biggest of all.
Everyone has a story. Some big, some small. They are all unique.
Everyone’s story is somehow related to God’s story. Learn how to tell your story in light of the biggest story of all.
